I know, I know, I’m very late on posting my trip to New York last year but I’m really starting to crack down on working towards my blog this year. This was my second time visiting New York and it sure won’t be my last. Although, what led me to travel cross country to The Big Apple every time was Governors Ball music festival. If you know me, I was quite the festival junkie for some time but I’ve know decided to steer myself into a more died down direction and focus on traveling and experience. My next visit will definitely consist of more attractions so I will have more food, shops and tips for you guys!

It seems as though every time me or my friends visit, it’s like walking into a world of endless opportunities. New York is constantly growing; making it a new, fun experience every time.

5 am walks through the city meant the most peaceful time of the day.

I’m so in love with Ny’s infrastructure. They look like Legos.

Central Park is a MUST. It’s HUGE and every piece of it is beautiful.

Anyone who knows me, knows my love for The Strokes. Which is what initially led me to New York twice. They headlined Governors Ball each year I went and I had to see them in their hometown, of course. Last year, they had a pop up store and I went, pretty much every day I was there (haha) Out of all my photos, I just think this is classic.

Love Love Love Wafle & Dinges Cafe. I wasn’t vegetarian at this time so I had the De Elvis Waffle with bacon in it. First off, I don’t regret it. Second, I’ll be back. My photo doesn’t prove much but your taste buds will thank me later.

Stopped by a hole in the wall burger joint. This was my view from where I ate and I think it fits a great description of the “city life”.

If there’s one thing New York is always on game for, it’s food. I don’t think I had one bad plate both times I’ve been there. Scratch that! The chain food trucks! that was a no for me. Other than that, everywhere really puts passion into their food. And it really stems down to their culture since almost everyone who lives in New York, is not really from New York. We get tastes from all over the world!

I have so many food recommendations, but I’ll leave you with one of my favorites. Looking for a quick sit and bite? I suggest Spiegel. They have amazing sandwiches, very healthy also and you can grab a beer or cocktail as well.

Bathroom of Grisly Pear bar

My friends and I were walking around the city with no plans in mind when a excited woman approached us. She insisted we come to an all women’s stand up show around the corner, we were on the fence about it till she mentioned it was free. We looked at each other and said why not! Sure enough it was great choice! The comedians were great, the drink specials were great, the overall atmosphere was, well, Great.

The Grisly Pear bar is not only a bar but is a regular comedy club on weekends also. We happened to catch them on a free weekday night, so take your chances! It’s worth it.

New York, I love you.
